Global Poker League bloopers

This post is part of a series about the Global Poker League

The first week of the Global Poker League was great, and we got to see many crazy exciting heads up online poker matches between the world’s best poker players. The first day we saw a mix of 6-max and heads up matches while the two days that followed were exclusively heads up. We got to see Randy ‘nanonoko’ Lew do nanonoko things and sweep a passive Ledev in 3 rounds. We also got to see Daniel ‘Jungleman’ Cates lose very humorously as he was swept by Grospellier.

All in all it was a great first week, some additions to interactivity for these matches will be very positive because right now most of the entertaining is coming from the commentators while the players stay mostly quiet. The most vocal poker players in the GPL so far have been olivier Busquets and Daniel Cates, and it was hilarious each time they started talking so we definitely want to see more of that.

The Global Poker League regular season will continue for another 8 weeks and we can’t wait to see what’s next, we’ve got a good feeling about this.
